The autumnal equinox arrives at 2:04 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, but for all practical purposes fall started earlier this week.
The days have been cooler, and by halftime last night at the Corvallis-South Albany game at Spartan Stadium it was getting cold.
The corn stalks are still standing in the garden, but we’ve eaten or given away all the corn and just about everything else except tomatoes.
