As I was driving to work this morning, I saw guys getting ready to start a paving project on Sixth Avenue between Ellsworth and Washington Streets. It would take most of the summer, I thought.
When I drove home at 5:45, I was amazed to see that the job was done. What had been Albany’s worst stretch of street is now its best.
This three-block asphalt gem was so inviting that I had to ride my bike on it tonight. One word for the experience: Smooth.
To the crew that pulled off this one-day wonder, great job!
